Dental Implants?
A dental implant is a titanium screw that is used to replace a missing natural tooth root. Implants provide a fixture onto which a prosthetic tooth or set of teeth can be attached, replacing the function and appearance of a natural tooth. Who can get an implant?
It is common to feel wary of getting dental implant surgery, but there are some situations when it is the best option. For those who have lost one or more teeth, using an implant to fill the gap is more than an aesthetic choice — implants help to support bite and jaw.
Will my teeth look natural?
At MV Dental our team will listen to your desires and design a smile that matches. As All on Implant involves replacing both the teeth and gums, we can aim to create the most natural, realistic smile as possible.
How long will my implant last?
Prevention is better than the cure. It is just as important to regularly clean your smile with dental implants as it is with real teeth. This will help keep everything healthy and often last upwards of 20 years.
How long does the procedure take?
The dental implant surgery is often reasonably fast as an hour or two, but the journey can take longer.
Implants take around 3-4 months to heal and integrate with your jaw before the final teeth can be placed. Sometimes we have to wait for an extraction site or graft to heal before placing an implant.
In the meantime, we can always provide temporary teeth within a day whilst we hurry up and wait for your body to heal throughout the process.

Implants are designed for people who have failing or compromised teeth. They are also an option for people who wear a partial or full denture due to missing teeth.
